Semantic Publishing Protocol (SPP)
You taught the browser to read.

I taught the web to speak.

Today I released the Semantic Publishing Protocol (SPP) — a modular, agent-aware, AI-native specification for publishing structured content with meaning, context, and consent.

This isn’t just a better CMS format. It’s a new publishing substrate — a spec that lets humans and machines communicate intent, attribution, and trust.

SPP is built on a clean, extensible spec (SPS), with:

  • Protocol flows for agent-based content handling
  • Semantic structure that’s verifiable and interpretable
  • Built-in validation tooling
  • Clear governance and responsible AI principles

Why? Because the AI era demands more than HTML and markdown hacks.

SPP gives us:

  • Real structured meaning
  • Consent-aware content flows
  • Attribution and rating protocols
  • Decentralised registries and programmable trust

This is a call to build a smarter, more expressive web — from the ground up.
